Salem Mayor Kim Driscoll has set the town and the internet on fire with this photo of a lamp post in front of the Salem court house. Nestled right where the lamp should be is a very clear face, and a creepy one at that.
After taking taking the shot the Mayor took to twitter, asking if anyone else saw the eerie face. Yeah, we all do Mayor.
Anybody else see a face in this light?…Totally eerie, eh pic.twitter.com/W5OeVlz9yQ

Many users on social media say that the face looks like that of a man with furrowed brows, giving the face a more menacing feel. Personally we think it looks as if the face is trying to speak, like it’s mid-sentence or mid-word. Of course the image being captured in front of the towns court house could have some significance also.
Naturally the creepy is very strong with the town of Salem. Home to occult museums, witchcraft shops and the biggest halloween party in America every year. It certainly wouldn’t surprise anyone if there was something in the lamps there. Or anywhere else for that matter. The Massachusetts town is now mostly known for embracing its darker side now, taking in lot of tourism dollars that come along with it.
Salem is home to approximately 43,000 people and is best known for its 1692 witch trials which led the execution of 20 people.
