This recently uploaded Brighton museum ghost video has been creeping a lot of people out recently. With pretty good reason.
In this extended clip what we’re seeing is CCTV footage of the Brighton Museum gift shop. For some directional perspective, the camera is positioned down towards the floor and facing the front doors.
The event only lasts a moment and can be easily missed. When you see it though, it’s a head-scratcher for sure.
Everything happened around 3 am in early July. A museum employee was walking around, we’re assuming security personnel at this point, when they hear a crashing sound coming from the gift shop. On investigation the employee finds a cup has fallen off a shelf and smashed on the floor. The museum is obviously closed at this time and no one else is supposed to be around.
With the situation being quite curious the employee then went back to check out the CCTV footage and this is what they find. During the event, which is easier to see when put in slow motion and zoomed in (thanks video people!), you can see a quick flash and then a cup falls immediately afterwards. Not to put to fine a point on it but, again, this is 3 am in the morning, there’s no one around to cause this sort of thing.
Kevin Bacon (no Creepers, not THAT Kevin Bacon!), the museums Digital Manager, wrote a great blog post about the incident. On top of having a really cool title – seriously, I think Diane wants to be the creepytimes.com Digital Manager now – he seems like a really cool guy. He writes that, while he doesn’t really believe in the paranormal idea, he does find the mystery intriguing. By the sounds of it, so does the rest of the museum staff. I’d highly suggest checking out the blog post as they have some great images I wouldn’t dare rip off and put up here. I have scruples.
For those of us who ARE into this sort of thing there’s been comments that this looks like a lot like an Orb Spirit. Orbs have been known to cause flashes of light just before something mysteriously falls or moves in the area.
The Brighton museum ghost video is a great example of CCTV footage though and we always love a good CCTV video.
