Things aren’t good in Choloma right now, a little Monterrey village in northwest Honduras. As if life wasn’t tough enough they now have to deal with one of the deadliest cryptids out there, the Chupacabra.
In the past two months the beast has been responsible for the deaths of at least 35 animals, all drained of blood and brutally slaughtered.
Omar Martinez told La Tribuna about his nephew who cares for a heard of sheep woke up at 12:45 in the morning when he heard a noise. Investigating further he saw a dark shape surround the sheep who fell dead shortly after. Paralyzed with fear the boy watched as the shape moved on to kill two more goats, eventually leaving.
As bad as the situation is, the locals are even more nervous for the future with their biggest worry being that Chupacabra moves on to human victims. For now the local police have increased routine patrols and have advised all the farmers to be vigilant with their stock. Let’s hope that’s enough to get whatever is out there to stop.
