This Bigfoot video is now being described as some of the best evidence to have ever been released. Just so we’re clear here, this is NOT new video. There’s a good chance you’ve already seen it. The video is making its way around social media again and it’s being considered, in retrospect, as historically compelling evidence.
The video was originally taken by Josh Highcliff near Tunica, Mississippi in 2013. Josh was out hunting hogs on his hunting property, sitting on a log and waiting for the critters to come out near dark. He heard a sound and turned to see what he describes as “a huge black thing” tearing apart of a dead cypress tree.
Josh tried his best to record the Bigfoot video but that’s not always easy. This poor guy was just out there looking for some hogs when all of a sudden he’s got a giant, scary black thing not terribly far off. Unfortunately we never get a really great view in the video. As you can see, as soon as the beast stands Josh bolts out of there pretty quick. No judgement here, I’d have ran too.
While everything old is new again, it may not always be shinny. This particular Bigfoot video gets a fair bit of criticism for numerous reasons. The first being the creature itself having a deep resemblance to a guy in a gorilla suit. To be fair, it’s not a great angle, but it just does. We’ve all seen our buddy Nick running around with his damn gorilla suit and this is exactly what he looks like.
The location is also suspect. This creature in the video is big with thick black fur. This part of Mississippi is very hot, very humid and very swampy. All the damn time. If I’m Bigfoot, I’m hanging around the deep forests to the north where my size and hairy body make sense, not messing around in the swamp. It could be Skunk Ape but, again, this thing had a lot of fur and the smell would have tipped Josh off way before he heard any sounds.
So, a mystery then. Regardless, I’m happy this Bigfoot video is making the rounds again. It may not be perfect but it’s a creepy bit of fun that may be a genuine clue to some Bigfoot behavior.
